These sheets are cut crossgrain, meaning the grain goes the 12” length.  They are still very nice and there is nothing wrong with them.

Plywood sheets are about 1/4" smaller on each dimension due to saw blade kerf when cutting. The material has no knots or patches on either side. Store sheets flat with weight on top to avoid warping.
